These Terms of Sale ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of Apate Security ("the Software"), operated by [Legal Entity Name] ("we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to these Terms, our End User License Agreement and our Privacy Policy.
Apate Security is a passive, read-only Windows desktop application for network defense, monitoring and investigation. Licenses are offered as monthly or annual subscriptions and, for some plans, as lifetime licenses, according to the tiers described on our Pricing page.
Payments are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, which handles billing, card and PayPal payments, invoicing and applicable sales tax/VAT on our behalf. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise and may change; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that term.
Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price, until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your customer portal or by contacting us; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the paid period. Lifetime licenses are one-time purchases and do not renew.
A 14-day free trial is available and does not require a card to start. If you purchase, billing begins per the plan you select.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on new purchases. Within 14 days of purchase you can obtain a full, self-service refund from our refund page; the refund is issued to your original payment method. See our Refund Policy for details.
Your purchase grants a license to use the Software under the EULA. Delivery is digital: a signed license key is emailed to you, usually within minutes of a completed purchase. The Software and licensing operate offline; no account or server check is required to activate.
The Software is licensed strictly for lawful, passive and defensive security use, on systems you own or are expressly authorized to assess. You must not use it to attack, intrude upon or disrupt any system, or in violation of any law.
The Software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to your purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the license in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, and we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
We may update these Terms from time to time; the "last updated" date reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Country / State], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of [Jurisdiction / City] shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
