- Processor & memory
- A multi-core 64-bit processor · 4 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB or more recommended. Apate keeps a larger in-memory cache so the console stays fast on busy networks.
- Disk space
- About 250 MB of free space - the app installs to roughly 235 MB, and the installer download is about 86 MB.
- Permissions
- Administrator rights, for live packet capture and full network discovery.
- Packet-capture driver
- Npcap (free). Apate offers to install it on first run; without it, device discovery still works, and live packet capture turns on once it is installed. See the open-source licenses.
- Internet
- Needed for license activation, updates and online intelligence lookups. Everything else runs offline - your network data stays on your machine, with no telemetry.
- Display
