Is Apate Security safe to run on my network?
Yes. Apate is detection-first and non-destructive: it discovers using ordinary network requests, and new devices get an automatic port check you can turn off in Settings. It never exploits, brute-forces, blocks or modifies devices. Heavier active tools - like an authorized on-path (ARP) mode - are off by default, so it is safe to run on production and sensitive networks.
Do I need to install an agent on every device?
No. Apate works at the network level from a single Windows machine - no agents, no drivers on your endpoints, and nothing to deploy across a fleet.
Does it send my data anywhere?
No. There is no telemetry. Your data stays on your machine. License activation is verified online, but your network findings never leave your computer.
What do I need to run it?
